My Home

My home has become the only place I feel that I can fully be myself.  So I like being home. I do go out, but with the recent life of Covid it's just better to stay home and enjoy my favorite hobbies.

My hobbies include watching movies, reading, playing board games and cards, cooking, crocheting, making diamond paintings, taking care of my animals, and making tons of chex mix.

Whenever my daughter comes over we always have a game night. Its a great way to get away from the electronics and interact with each other's competitive side. It's a good way to let off steam.

I have a lot of animals in my house. I guess growing up in chaos has led me to fill that void with pets. I have 6 cats, one dog, two parakeets, one sun conure, and a bearded dragon lizard. Yes, I know I'm crazy. And, yes, I have put a hold on getting any more. For the most part it's very easy to take care of them. The majority of them were rescues. They were in homes that could no longer take care of them. Over the years I was fostering pets and then found good homes for them. These are the only ones I have kept. There is a science to it.  I have 3 rules:

  1. Don't get attached

  2. Don't name them

  3. Don't ever let your daughter see them

I love to create artsy things like crochet, friendship bracelets, diamond paintings, etc.

I LOVE cooking and baking!  However, my daughter recently has taken over my kitchen. It's ok, I can handle it...she will just have to move when I need to make chex mix.  My mother was the Queen of Chex Mix. I have taken over that role and I am proud to say that everyone loves my Chex Mix.
